Terms of Service

Welcome to Soapd. By creating an account or using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Soapd

Soapd is a mobile marketplace platform that connects customers with independent car service providers ("Pros"). We offer a platform for booking mobile detailing, oil changes, window tinting, tire services, and other car care services. Soapd does not directly perform any car services.

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Soapd
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• One account per person — duplicate accounts may be suspended
• You may register as a Customer, a Pro, or both

3. Bookings & Services

• Customers select a service, date, time, and location through the app
• Bookings are accepted by Pros on a first-come, first-served basis
• Soapd does not guarantee availability of Pros at any specific time
• Service quality is the responsibility of the independent Pro, not Soapd
• Customers are expected to provide accurate vehicle and location information

4. Pricing & Payments

• Service prices are displayed in the app before booking
• A 20% booking fee is added on top of the service price
• Applicable Arizona city taxes are added to the total
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Pros receive 100% of their service price — the booking fee goes to Soapd
• Promotional codes may reduce or waive the booking fee when applicable

5. Cancellation Policy

• 24+ hours before scheduled time: Full refund
• Under 24 hours: Refund minus the booking fee (customer loses the 20% fee)
• FIRST20 promo users: Full refund regardless of timing
• Pro cancellation: Booking is reassigned to another available Pro. If no Pro accepts within 1 hour of the scheduled time, the booking is automatically cancelled with a full refund.

6. Independent Contractors

Pros on Soapd are independent contractors, not employees of Soapd. Soapd does not control how, when, or where Pros perform their services. Pros are responsible for their own insurance, licensing, equipment, and tax obligations.

7. User Conduct

All users agree to:

• Treat other users with respect and professionalism
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
• Not use the platform for fraudulent purposes
• Not misrepresent their identity, vehicle, or service capabilities
• Provide honest reviews and ratings

8. Reviews & Ratings

Customers may leave reviews after a completed service. Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience. Soapd reserves the right to remove reviews that contain harassment, spam, or inappropriate content.

9. Limitation of Liability

Soapd is a marketplace platform that connects customers with independent service providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Soapd is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of services performed by Pros
• Soapd is not liable for any damage to vehicles, property, or persons arising from services booked through the platform
• Soapd's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific booking in question

Disputes regarding service quality should be resolved directly between the customer and the Pro. Soapd may assist in mediation at its discretion.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

Soapd reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Receive repeated complaints from other users
• Abuse the platform or its features

11. Intellectual Property

The Soapd name, logo, app design, and content are owned by Soapd and protected by trademark and copyright law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Soapd platform without written permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Soapd after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Soapd shall be resolved in the courts of Pima County, Arizona.
